Search settings
Type a word into the search box at the top of settings and only the groups and settings that match it stay on screen.
Why you would use it
Settings is a long sheet: agents, git, auto compact, tabs, the transcript, shortcuts, the Agent Commander, keep awake, voice and read aloud. When you know what you want to change but not where it sits, search finds it faster than scrolling.
How to use it
Tap the cog (
#settings-open).Type into the box with the magnifier under the title, which reads Search Settings in grey until you type (
#settings-search). Each letter narrows the sheet.
Clear the box to see every group again. The search starts empty each time the settings open.

What you see
- A group whose name or description holds every word you typed stays whole:
transcriptkeeps the whole Transcript group. - Otherwise only the settings that match stay, under their group's name:
idlekeeps Move finished tabs to Done and hides the Tabs group's two colour switches. - Words can come from the group and the setting together:
transcript toolkeeps only Tool calls. - Each group also answers to a few words it does not show, such as
permissionfor Agents, suspendfor Keep awake, microphonefor Voice andttsfor Read aloud. - When nothing matches, the sheet says
No setting matches.
Limits and known gaps
- Search finds any part of a word, case aside (
compfinds Auto compact), but not spelling mistakes or synonyms beyond the few each group carries. - It searches the settings sheet only. The rows of Keyboard shortcuts and an
agent's own screen are not searched: search
shortcutor the agent's name to find the way in. - A group that does not show on this device, such as Voice on a workstation without dictation, stays hidden whatever you type.
