Tap feedback
Every tap on a control gives one short vibration: tabs, buttons, menu rows, the settings, the composer's pickers, and the diff, agent and plan cards in the transcript.
Why you would use it
On a phone a tap on a small control has no click under the finger. The vibration tells you the tap registered before the screen changes.
How to use it
Nothing to turn on. Tap a control.
What you see
Nothing extra on screen. A disabled control, plain text and the composer's text field give no vibration. Two taps within 40 ms give one.
Limits and known gaps
- Only a browser that has
navigator.vibratevibrates: Chrome and Firefox on Android. iOS Safari does not, so an iPhone feels nothing. - It cannot be turned off in VCode. The phone's own touch-feedback setting still applies.
- The tab drag and the swipe between tabs keep their own vibration.
