Move the app to app.fezu.dev
The app now lives at app.fezu.dev. If you use it at app.v-code.dev, one tap signs you in at the new address on the same account, with no email code.
Why you would use it
You added app.v-code.dev to your home screen before the move. That address keeps working, but new features and links point at app.fezu.dev. The move saves you logging in again there.
How to use it
- In the app at app.v-code.dev, tap the cog (
#settings-open). - In the Account group (
#settings-account), tap Move to app.fezu.dev (#settings-move). On dev.app.v-code.dev it reads Move to dev.app.fezu.dev. - The page goes to app.fezu.dev, back to app.v-code.dev for a moment, and lands on app.fezu.dev signed in. Your workstations open as before.
- On a phone or tablet, the page then shows
Add app.fezu.dev to your home screen(#install-screen):- In Chrome, tap Install (
#is-go). - If the move started from the app on your home screen, the page opens inside that app, where it cannot be installed. Tap Open in Chrome; Chrome opens the same address, signed in, and offers Install there. If Chrome does not open, tap the three-dot menu at the top, then Open in Chrome.
- On an iPhone or iPad, the screen gives the Share steps for your browser.
- In Chrome, tap Install (
The desktop app does this by itself: the first time it starts on app.fezu.dev signed out, it moves the account it was signed in to on app.v-code.dev, and the window lands on app.fezu.dev signed in.
What you see
- The button shows only at app.v-code.dev and dev.app.v-code.dev, never on app.fezu.dev.
- The next time you open the old address, a toast says
Moved. Add app.fezu.dev to your home screen; this address keeps working.once. - If the move cannot finish, the old address shows
Could not move to app.fezu.dev:and the reason, and stays signed in. - Continue in the browser closes the install screen; it does not come back in that tab. Install later from the top bar's install button.
- If the new address does not finish within 5 minutes, it shows its login
card with
That login link has expired. Log in again.Tap the button again, or log in there with your email.
Limits and known gaps
- The new address is a new device on your account, listed on your account page beside the old one. Remove the old one there once you stop using it.
- Each address keeps its own settings on the device: tab order, the open project and drafts start fresh on app.fezu.dev.
- The desktop app tries once per install. If that fails, it shows the login card as before.
- A home-screen app cannot change its address, so each phone adds the new one once. Chrome moves an installed app between addresses only on the same domain, and fezu.dev is not the same domain as v-code.dev.
- Open in Chrome needs Chrome itself. Another Android browser gets the steps for its own menu instead.
